Dells Bio
Dell Vera comes from a 7th Generation cherry farm in northern Michigan, located on the Leelanau Peninsula and went on to graduate in 1991 from MSU’s nationally ranked agriculture program. He moved to Hilton Head, South Carolina where he worked as an irrigation tech with Wadsworth Golf Course construction company and built Old South golf links while living in a tent. He then was recruited by Tarpon Springs Florida to work as an Assistant Superintendent for Innisbrook which Holds the J.C. Penny Classic Every Year. In 1992 at the young age of 24 Dell was advanced to Superintendent of Construction of 18 holes and built his first golf course called the Upper Creek G.C. in Ruskin Florida.
Combining construction with his love of modeling and acting, Dell took classes at A.I., modeled in Tampa and then Greece for Alexa Model Agency, eventually becoming known as a top look-a-like for Brad Pitt.
Dell decided to go home to the family farm and build his own golf course along with his father Jim, where he designed and built Wild Cherry Resort, a first class motor coach and golf course resort in 2004.
Dell is a single father of two beautiful boys living in the log cabin he built for them and is currently attempting to save his family cherry farm so his boys can have the same opportunity to grow up on the farm as he did.
